Key takeaways
- Shopify lists Singapore plans in SGD: Basic SGD 29, Grow SGD 99 and Advanced SGD 399 a month on yearly billing, or SGD 39, 132 and 531 on monthly billing (checked 20 October 2026).
- Payment fees usually cost more than the plan. Shopify Payments charges 3.2%, 3.1% or 3% + SGD 0.50 per online card payment, and other gateways add a Shopify fee of 2%, 1% or 0.6%.
- Shopify Plus starts from USD 2,300 a month on a three-year term. Outlets add POS Pro at SGD 129 per location a month.
Shopify's plans in Singapore start at SGD 29 a month on yearly billing. That is the short answer. The useful answer is what the store costs to run for three years once payment fees, apps, outlets and people are added, and that is what this guide sets out.
Prices below were checked on 20 October 2026 on Shopify's Singapore pages. Shopify, payment providers and app developers change prices, so confirm current figures on the linked pages before you budget.
How much does Shopify cost per month in Singapore?
Shopify's Singapore pricing page lists plans in SGD.
| Plan | Yearly billing (per month) | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | SGD 29 | SGD 39 |
| Grow | SGD 99 | SGD 132 |
| Advanced | SGD 399 | SGD 531 |
Yearly billing saves about a quarter on each plan. Shopify lists no setup fees. Every paid plan includes basic in-person selling, so you can take payments at a counter or pop-up without an extra subscription.
What does Shopify charge on each sale?
This is the line that usually decides the plan. There are two cases.
If you use Shopify Payments, Shopify charges a card rate per transaction:
| Plan | Online card rate | In-person card rate | Third-party provider fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 3.2% + SGD 0.50 | 3% + SGD 0.50 | 2% |
| Grow | 3.1% + SGD 0.50 | 2.9% + SGD 0.50 | 1% |
| Advanced | 3% + SGD 0.50 | 2.75% + SGD 0.50 | 0.6% |
| Plus | – | 2.6% | 0.2% |
If you use another payment provider, Shopify adds the third-party provider fee in the last column, on top of what that provider charges. On SGD 50,000 of monthly sales through another provider, the Shopify fee alone is SGD 1,000 on Basic, SGD 500 on Grow and SGD 300 on Advanced. At that volume, the step from Basic to Grow pays for itself.
Most Singapore stores meet this case, because PayNow is not a Shopify Payments method in Singapore. Adding PayNow means adding a third-party provider, and Shopify's fee then applies to those orders. Our guide to Shopify payment gateways in Singapore works through PayNow costs per order.
How much is Shopify Plus in Singapore?
Shopify Plus starts from USD 2,300 a month on a three-year term, according to Shopify's Singapore pricing page. It is priced in US dollars, unlike the other plans. In-person card payments on Plus are 2.6% and the third-party provider fee is 0.2%.
Plus makes sense when the fee savings and the extra controls outweigh the higher subscription. For most stores below that scale, Advanced is the ceiling worth comparing against.
What do outlets add to the cost?
Retailers with physical stores add:
- POS Pro, SGD 129 per location a month, for outlets that need more staff and inventory tools. Basic in-person selling is already included in every paid plan.
- Card readers. In Singapore, Shopify's readers run on Shopify Payments.
- Mall reporting, if your outlets pay gross turnover (GTO) rent.
Our guide to Shopify POS in Singapore has a first-year cost table for 1 and 5 outlets.
What else goes into the budget?
- Theme. A theme from the Shopify Theme Store is a one-time licence, and free themes exist. A custom design costs more up front and less in workarounds later.
- Apps. Reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, search and shipping tools are usually monthly subscriptions, some priced by order volume. Keep a register of every app, its cost and what it does, and review it each quarter.
- Building the store. Our setup packages are SGD 1,000, 1,500, 3,500 and 10,000, depending on catalogue size and how much is configured. Custom design, apps and integrations are quoted separately. See Shopify development.
- Running the store. Our support is SGD 150 an hour, or 30, 50 or 100 prepaid credit hours valid for a year. See support and maintenance.
- Integrations. If accounting, an ERP or a warehouse exchanges data with Shopify, budget for the build and for upkeep as Shopify releases new API versions.
A three-year budgeting checklist
| Cost line | One-time | Recurring |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify plan | Monthly or yearly | |
| Shopify Payments card rate | Percentage + SGD 0.50 per transaction | |
| Third-party provider fee (PayNow and other gateways) | Percentage of those sales | |
| Third-party provider's own rate | Per that provider's rate card | |
| POS Pro (per outlet) | Monthly per location | |
| Card readers and counter hardware | Per outlet | Replacement over time |
| Theme | Licence or design build | |
| Apps | Monthly, sometimes volume-based | |
| Store build | Setup package or custom project | |
| Support | Hourly or credit hours | |
| Integrations | Build | Maintenance |
The two lines we most often see under-budgeted are support and integrations. A store launched without anyone responsible for it decays, and a manual process that will be "automated later" tends to stay manual.
